Tie Blanket Social
By: Evelyn Groeger
Calling all blanket lovers. This is your chance to show those blanket doubters the importance of having multiple blankets. The Campus Activities Board at the University of Sioux Falls is co-hosting a Tie Blanket Social with Service Core. This event is being led by Action Coordinator, Cassidy Nelson, where students, faculty, and friends can create tie blankets that will be given to those in need.
Nelson said, “Edison Middle School Project Warm-Up, started this love for making tie blankets. It’s fun to get a group together and make a blanket that is soft and warm, which you are then able to give to someone in need.”
This event is being hosted on February 29 at 6 p.m. in the McDonald Conference Room at the USF Campus. Material such as scissors, rulers, markers, and fleece will be provided along with good company. Now ready, set, tie.
