Woman’s Golf Begins Spring Season

The spring season for woman’s USF golf is well under way and Regions is quickly approaching.

Head Coach of the golf team, Sam Vosler, says the season has been going for well so far.

“Fall season went really well. We were projected in the preseason polls in the NSIC to be 7th, and currently were in 3rd.” Vosler says.

“We also had some personal best.” Vosler says

Vosler was talking about sophomore golfer Lexi Hanson. Hanson has been scoring well throughout the course of the season and is averaging a score of 78.97

“Lexi is one of the top players in our conference and is currently projected to make it to regional competition.” Vosler says.

While Hanson does like how well she has been doing individually she also  says that she really enjoys how close the team has gotten

“We go to dinner together, I think getting closer also made us better to help push ourselves to the next level.”

The next and for the Cougar golf team is the NSIC conference tournament which takes place from April 13th to the 15th.

Best of luck to the golfers as they compete in that tournament for a chance to compete at the regional tournament
