USF Theater Presents Cougaret II – A Night at The Movies
Story by Amy Elston
As Cougaret is set to premiere in October, Mitch Rymer, a senior at USF, gave College Daily an insight on what it was like last year for students, “Cougaret is a once a year event that started last year for homecoming. The first show last year was sold out and if you weren’t there you missed out on a lot.”
New to Cougaret this year is the prize distribution. Joe Obermueller, The Director of Theatre, says “We walked away from the performance last year thinking that all of the charities should have walked away with something so we expanded the prize money this year so that we will give away three top prizes and the other charities will also walk away with a prize.”
The biggest change to this year’s addition would be the theme along with the presentation.
Brittany Kurtenbach, Fine Arts Public Relations Coordinator, tells College Daily “There will be six hosts will be performing, along with another change, adding a few more participants with our ten groups performing and we will be having a people’s choice award.”
Cougaret II – A Night at The Movies will take place on October 9th at 8:00pm in the Meredith Auditorium located in the Jeschke Fine Arts Center.
