Pilgrims Journey to the Celestial City
Story by Evan Gentry
Pilgrims Progress was put on by the USF Theatre Department the weekend before Easter Sunday.
Pilgrims Progress, a 70-minute play, reigns from the 17th century and was written by John Bunyan. Many of the actors had multiple roles and they also play parts as scenery during some scenes.
Opening night had a turn out of just over 100 people in the audience and all of which were captivated and sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to see what else Pilgrim had to endure to reach the Celestial City.
Sophomore David Morel is one of the actors. He said he spent many hours in his room memorizing his lines.
Director Joe Obermueller gave insight into what would be in store for Fall 2014 saying he hopes to pack the 800 seats in Jeschke.
