Worship Isn’t Only for Sundays
The University of Sioux Falls is known for its Christian community and with that comes the tradition of Thursday night worship. Students who participate in Thursday night worship get the opportunity to practice their musical skills while praising God at the same time.
“Worship night for me is awesome. I love going as a group of Christians and just worshiping, singing music and it’s just a good time,” says Micah Reierson, a member in one of the six worship groups.
Every Thursday Night, students at USF get together to worship God with other fellow classmates. Worship Night is a time for students to meet new people, relax, and enjoy time with God in worship. It allows students to disconnect from the busy work and just unwind.
“It’s a good chance to step away from everything and get away from all the craziness that comes from the college life. Just have a couple hours to praise God and be a vessel to help others to praise God, is a really cool experience,” says Micah Kittelson, a sophomore at USF.
Singing in worship doesn’t only occur on Sunday mornings, but can happen any time of the week. The chance of sitting down to worship reminds you the importance of the relationship between you and God.
“Worship is so important. Worship is what helps you understand your position in relation to God,” says Elizabeth Enalls, Worship Coordinator at USF.
Worship night is student-led, which gives students the opportunity to actively participate in this event. Worship night happens every Thursday at 9:00p.m in Ward Lobby. Come enjoy this opportunity to worship God through music and fellowship.
